Ok Friday June 24th - 500 odd miles give or take... a long trip.
We stayed with a friend in Memphis - in the good part, Germantown and it was really great. We did not realize how jaded we had become with hotels already, checking in and out, moving all the bags, laundry, dog, other miscellaneous items. It was so nice to have a home to stay in, with space, and separate rooms from the kids. Also there was a pool so that was great too. Max had a lot of space to roam and explore so all in all it truly felt like a vacation to stay the two nights with our friend. We got to sample some great Indian food and just chill out with beers and books in the evenings.
Ok what the hell vehicle uses this size tire?
For a moment it felt like we were in Europe driving on the other side of the road... alas it as a truck pulling another 2 trucks!
Across the Mississippi baby!
The picture does not do it justice but suffice to say the Mississippi is really very wide.
Tennessee state - 7th state (CA, NV, AZ, NM, TX, OK, TN)
Ate in a cool brewery where the shells of nuts could be thrown on the floor - the kids thought this was strange and funny at the same time. Along with chicken, Debbie tried the sweet potato filled with marshmallow and caramel sauce... just a little too sweet.
