We eventually arrived at Ruidoso, got a healthy meal at McDonalds and hit the sack. Given how long today took and the fact that San Antonio is another 600 miles we have decided to re-route our trip. So... instead of going south to San Antonio, Houston, New Orleans... we are instead going a shorter (but more boring) route through Amarillo, Oklahoma City, Memphis, etc...
